We are so blessed to have a father that loves us so much that he came into this world and lived and died FOR US!!! I thank him and give him all the glory for every heartache, tear shed, and pain he endured for my sins...We can never repay him for what he has done. I'm so glad that all he requires from us is to glorify him, yet we make it so hard!!!! Just simply admonish, glorify and tell God how good he is!!!! He adores the attention. He blesses us when we recognize that all this is not possible without him!!!

Hello my beautiful followers. I hope and pray that you're in perfect peace. If not, I pray that God blesses you with peace that surpasses all understanding. God's love is genuine, his love does not judge, his love forgives without reminding you of your past. God's love is real. How awesome would it be if we as humans loved the way he loves us. How wonderful life would be if you could forgive your sister or brother whole heartedly and with open arms and completely forget how we've been wronged.
I dare you to love someone without fear. I dare you to say "I forgive you" and walk in love with that individual. Today I dare you to choose love over grudging, I dare you to choose to live in harmony with your children, family, and friends. What you say and how you say it can greatly affect the outcome of any situation!!! I'm a strong believer that the path you follow in life is determined by what you speak into it!!! This is why it's very important that you watch what and how you speak about yourself and about others.
I make it a point to tell my daughter each and everyday that "you are a queen and you will do and be ANYTHING you desire!" I want her to know that when you speak life, life happens!!!!

What have you said to yourself to put you where you are now? What have you allowed others to say about you that determined your current situation? Do you know that it's not too late to change the ending to your life story? I dare you to speak life in the area of your existence that has none!!! The bible says in Proverbs 18:21 that "death and life are in the power of the tongue", that means that whatver you say can bring hope, prosperity, and success or doubt, poverty, and failure!!!!

It doesn't matter how your life is going now! You can be on top of the world and allow your tongue to destroy everything you've built! You can be in the lowest of the lowest valley of your life and what you allow your tongue to say can turn your situation around!!!
Speak life, speak success, speak eternal joy while you're on this side of the grass, for what you speak now will set the tone to your eternity!!!! Be blessed sugahs and remember to praise him for you are fearfully and wonderfully made!!! (Psalm 139:14)

I have been kinda off in my posting!! With my life taking so many twist and turns I really haven't had an opportunity to just sit down and communicate with the outside world!!!
Brown Sugah Child is still alive and making strides to greatness!!!
We will be bringing in our new inventory, launching our girls line of t-shirts, and in January 2012 we will launch or Men's line of t-shirts!!!!
In the next few months you will see a brand new logo and website that will include post by yours truly and a forum so you all can express yourselves just as i do on this fabuloul blog!!!
I ask that you continue to pray for the success of Brown Sugah Child! God is not done with us yet, matter of fact i believe he's just getting started!!

I often wonder why we're so worried about how we look physically to people and the one we should be worried about is the father. Obesity is widespread nowadays. With so much inactivity in the US alone diseases such as diabetes, hyper tension, heart attacks, strokes, etc are higher than they were just 20 years ago!!!!
I wonder how God see us? I wonder if he thinks when we praise him that we're not giving him all of us? I mean how can we possibly say we love God and abuse the beautiful bodies he's given us while we're here on earth? Well I've decided to praise God with my body also!!!
God has allowed my heart to beat non stop since the day I was conceived in March of 1979 to the day i was born on December 10, 1979!!! He keeps it pumping to provide me with all the blood I need and has never paused a day to "take a break"! God has blessed me with strong lungs that are always functional when i want to take a deep breath!!! My kidneys have flushed out every poison that could have killed me!! So with all he's doing to keep me alive, all he wants is for me to care for myself. My heart, kidney and lungs happily do their job and they suffer with all the junk food I place in my body, it has to endure harsh conditions such as second hand smoke, and harsh fumes!!!
I've decided to praise Him in the way i care for my body. I thank Him so much for this body, so instead of poisoning my body with junk food, I'm going to feed it with the fruits, vegatables and meat he has placed here on earth for me to eat! Instead of watching the tv, I'm going to allow my lungs to splurge on the fresh air outside and watch the sunset! I loooove my Wii, but the track down the street from the house is much more interactive! lol!! I've come to realize that my heart loves to pump, so I will chase my daughter in a game of tag, or hide and seek!! I'm going to give my heart what it wants, because my heart gives me what I need! I've decided to spoil my body. She deserves the sweet nectar of health and strength! She deserves to be clothe in the best because her skin has clothed me for 31 years and protected me from all types of sicknesses and infections! I'm going to love my body, because Jesus sacrificed his for me! THANK YOU JESUS FOR EVERYTHING YOU DONE FOR MY BODY!!!
So this is my message to you, appreciate your body! God took his time and made you to perfection. You are like a one of kind painting! You are unique, there is nothing in the world that's made identical to you!! Stop making your heart and lungs pay for your poor choices and choose to spoil your organs with all the running, skipping, dancing, sweat, fresh air, fruits, vegatables and meat that God originally designed it for!!! Sugah you are with no doubt FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE!!!!! (Psalm 139:14)

Hello Ladies!!! I just wanted you all to know that I miss you dearly and I'm currently working on the relaunch of Brown Sugah Child!!! I hope that you all are in the best of health! God has blessed me with so much these last couple of months. God allowed me to be a surrogate and blessed a close relative of mine with a beautiful baby girl, my own child is healthy, happy, and strong, and I to top it all off I have the love of a beautiful man!!!!

I pray that each and everyone of you are blessed beyond measure. I thank God for each and every one of you. I know that because of you Brown Sugah Child is still alive and i promise that you all will not be disappointed by her return!!

When Resting is Required

As you all may or may not know I am currently a proud surrogate mother!!! 33 weeks and 6 days to be exact!! If you've ever been pregnant you would know that your body goes through a ton of changes physically, emotionally and in my case spiritually!!! This journey has taught me a lot about myself. It has taught me to look after myself.
We spend so much of our time trying to figure out and fix other folks problems, that we forget to fix our own. We tend to forget the little things that make us simply smile. I've learned to thank God for ME!!! I've learned to pray for myself and ask God to bless ME with all the desires of my heart.
I noticed before all this that i was always complaining about how tired and stressed out i am...."woe for me, God I'm tired" LOL!!!! All the while I'm running all over the place taking care of everyone else and ignoring myself!! I asked God to help me, I asked him to bless me and show me that he sees all that I'm doing for everyone else. I found myself asking him"God when will my reward come?" and all the while he was waiting on me./
Psalms 23 1-3 clearly speaks that "The lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside the quiet waters, he restores my soul."
The words that stick out in the scripture to me is "He MAKES me lie down in green pastures". You know sometime God has to make you chill out and just be. You don't always have to move around for everyone else! It's OK to take out time for yourself and just REST. We go everyday ripping and running for everyone else and it takes God to MAKE you rest!!! LOL!
Then the word also says "he leads me beside the quiet waters". When you finally allow God to truly bless you and give you rest you'll see that every situation you go through will be that of peace and solitude. You'll find that if you allow God to lead you that you're no longer afraid to say "no" to peoples request of you and that it's ok because God told you to sit down somewhere and be still because he can handle it!!! It's like God covers you in every stepping stone of life when you allow him to take your hand and let him lead the way.
It's funny how you can always say YES people and as soon as you say NO you are labeled selfish!!! This label has affected me all my life. Society has made the word selfish a bad thing! Why is it wrong to take up time for yourself, why is it wrong to desire tranquility for yourself? I use to be the "go to" chick for everything and everybody and at the end of the day i found that everything i set out to do for myself was left undone. Resting is definitely required. Taking time out for your self is necessary to be a vessel for the lord to use. God can't use a worn out, over worked soldier. He needs someone who is strong, and alert to carry out his business. You can't be in two places at one time. You need your arms, legs, heart,and mind contained in one place so that when HE needs you, you will be readily available. It's impossible to be there for EVERYONE and satisfy the Father, he needs you more. So for the sake of God, simply rest, take care of yourself, do something to make you smile cause the only person that matters, that you must answer to to is Him and Him alone. Forget everyone else sometime cause truth be told if they're reading this God will help them also and if they're not reading this it's ok to copy and paste this to your facebook, twitter, email it to them, print it and pass it out or simply tell them to visit this blog lol!!!! When all is said and done and everything and everyone has nipped away your energy what are you going to be able to do when HE NEEDS YOU???

It has been quite a journey for me and Brown Sugah Child!!!
With life taking twists and turns it's been kinda hard for me to sit back and communicate with all my beautiful customers and fans.

Well today i found something out of the norm for this little country town....an African market!!!! I was shocked and somewhat amazed by this store tucked in between a grand Italian restaurant and a saloon.....lol....too funny!

When God is in the fore front....

When God takes the lead, things start to happen!
I must say that since I've decided to keep the father first in my life things have been happening!!!Anyone who knows me will tell you that I have always been a procrastinator, I have never just stuck with one thing.
I would have dreams of being a lawyer one day, and the very next day decide to become an astronaut!lol I always seemed to have my mind everywhere, but nowhere at all. I became so tired of going in circles. I'm reminded of an India Arie song that say's "Slow it down baby, you're going too fast, you got your hands in the air with your feet on the gas!" That was me, out of control, moving fast into nowhere but confusion!!!
It wasn't until my 29th year of existing that i realized that i can't accomplish anything if i start and then stop..I needed to refocus...or for the better part, find something to focus on!!!! I had to sit and be still and wait for the father to tell me what it is He needed me to focus on.
I believe Brown Sugah Child is the fathers way of showing me He hasn't forgot about me, and that he's still in control. This business is God' business. Through BSC I've found a new trust and faith in the Father. I find myself asking him for forgiveness for all the years I moved ahead of him. It's funny how the Father will let his little ones run, and run, and run until we turn around and ask him, "Daddy, where are we going? I'm lost!!!!
I encourage you sister, or brother to slow down look back and ask God, "Daddy where are we going? and once you ask the question do as the little ones do and run back to him, take his hand and let him lead you to your destiny!!!!Be blessed Sugahs, when you don't know what to ask him in order to get in line, just tell him "help me!" believe me he understands everything you mean just by saying those two little words!!!! He's just good like that!!!!

God has so many ways of showing himself, I think his favorite way of showing his presence is through his children!!! God has blessed every single one of his children with a reason, a purpose, a talent and a gift!!!

I can only imagine how big his smile is when we use our talents and skills for his glory!!!!!

So what is your gift? Surprisingly, most of us have no idea until later on in life, but thank God we don't have to wait that long!!!!! Not sure? Try asking your father to show to you. Ask with your heart. I noticed when i simply told the father "not my will, but your will father" things start happening. When we decide to allow the father to take control, the first phase of it is very uneasy, as the father begins to break down and break away things and people. It's not going to be easy at first, as with any change both your mind and body go through a transition of withdrawal. Your mind and soul can become so accustom to those things not of God, that when it's time to change it's a constant battle between your selfish desires, and God's desire for you!!! Thank God we have the power to overcome our own selfish ambition just by telling the father to step in and take complete control no matter what!!! As soon as i decided to let him in, Brown Sugah Child came into existence!!!! I was so tired of going in circles, i was so tired of living a mediocre wayh of life, when my father desired for me to be that of greatness!!!!

Come on, give him a chance to prove himself. The father just wants to PROVE HIMSELF!!! Wooow it's seems as if he really wants to get his point across, Sit back relax, and just let him!!!!! lol!!!

Matthew 6:25-27 reads "Therefore I tell you, don not worry about your, life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food and the body more important thanclothes? Look at the birds orf the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

I have a secret to tell you.....you're not special to this world!!
No seriously, you're no different than any other person in the world! Your burden is no heavier than anyone else's. Just as you think you're having the worst experience EVER, someone else is having it a tad bit worst! And you know what? Someone else is having it a lot worst than that person! You spend tweny-three of the twenty-four hours of the day worrying and an additional hour tossing and turning worrying about how you're going to get by tomorrow!!! Take the time now to just make your mind SHUT UP!!!!
You must learn to put ALL YOUR WORRIES IN GOD'S HANDS! Our Father is practically begging us to allow Him to prove Hisself to us!! He wants us to depend on him. Trusting in God is part of what He requires. When we obey our Father and put trust in His word, it becomes difficult to worry. How can you seriously worry about this mediocre life when the word of God has so much power and promise???? He loves when His children ask for His help. I dare you to put aside your selfishness, and TRUST IN GOD! God has not forgotten about you. You're not the "red-headed step-child" lol!!! You're God's child and whatever you need and want, He has it and wants to give it you because you're SPECIAL to HIM!!!!!
